History is not a burden on the memory but an illumination of the soul! History is a guide for the mankind’s progress towards the great and successful future, therefore it is said that those who forget the history can’t create the history! Considering this historical fact and importance of the study of history, our institution had established the History Department right on its inception i.e. 1970. Since then History department have been trying its best for the educational as well as overall development of the students. History Department have the UG and PG courses. Apart from the subject teaching and learning, history department focused on the student’s preparation for the various competitive examination such as MPSC, UPSC, NET, SET and other state level entrance exams. Our pride alumni Miss ShardaSawnat was the Gold medalist in M.A. History in SNDT women’s University in the year 2012. Mrs. Sunita Parmit Dhammkirti has qualified the NET and SET Exam in the year 2018-2019. Many students are successfully achieved the various jobs in teaching, administrative and other fields. Highly qualified and committed staff, excellence in teaching learning, guidance for competitive examination, historical study tours are some of the major features of the history Department.
