The Accountancy and Commerce department was established in 1970. Graduate and postgraduate programs are taught in the department. The faculty of Commerce offers Bachelor Degree in Commerce with specialization in Financial Accounting and Auditing, and in the postgraduate program, syllabus of Choice Based Credit System is being offered as per the norms of NEP 2020 with specialization in Advanced Management Accounting and Auditing. The department organizes various student oriented activities like seminars, workshops, various competitions, industrial visits, internships etc. for their overall personality development.
The department aims to imbibe practical approach amongst the students by using different teaching methodologies other than black board teaching along with ICT enabled facilities. Department offers practical oriented courses such as Tally Prime, GST, and Introduction to research.
Goals of the Department:
- To empower women by offering them quality education in Accountancy and Commerce.
- To empower women for business and commercial activities.
- To enrich the life skills for enhancing economic and social status of women through gainful employment.
